Cancer Diet Delight: Carrot Ginger Smoothie
When you're undergoing cancer treatment, it's important to maintain a healthy diet that provides your body with the nutrients it needs to help fight off the disease and maintain strength. Smoothies can be a great way to get in a variety of nutrients and are easy on the digestive system.
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
2 cups chopped carrots
1 banana
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/2 inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and grated
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground turmeric
1 tsp honey
1/2 cup ice cubes
Instructions:
Add the chopped carrots, banana, almond milk, ginger, cinnamon, turmeric, honey, and ice cubes to a blender.
Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy.
Pour the smoothie into a glass and serve.
Note: If you are experiencing mouth sores or difficulty swallowing, you may want to strain the smoothie through a fine-mesh sieve before drinking.
